Finance & Accounting
Finance & Accounting is responsible for developing the strategy for the Westpac Group and providing financial information and insights that lead to actionable advice to our business partners. Finance & Accounting is also responsible for communications to many external parties such as regulators, the Australian Stock Exchange, investors, analysts and industry bodies such as the Australian Bankers Association.

Product and Operations
Product and Operations (P&O) is responsible for the design, development, origination and servicing of banking products for consumer and business customers in Australia. Our objective is to help earn all of our customers’ business by making our products and processes simpler and more consistent for our customers and those who serve them.
With approximately 4,000 employees, P&O is the kitchen serving the Bank’s many dining rooms. Our end-to-end fulfilment of product and services support the sales, fulfilment and maintenance of product sets for the Westpac, St George, BankSA and RAMS retail brands.
P&O also provides Sourcing, Property, Crisis and Security Management and Fraud functions for the Westpac Group and has a number of support functions including Strategy, Execution and IT, Risk, Legal, People (Human Resources) and Finance.

Retail and Business Banking (RBB)
Westpac Retail and Business Banking (WRBB) is responsible for sales, marketing and customer service for our 4.4 million consumer, small and medium enterprise customers within Australia.
Consumer sales and service activities are conducted through a nationwide network of 840 branches, 87 RAMS franchise outlets, a strong sales force of specialised Consumer Relationship Managers and mobile Home Finance Managers, contact centres, 1,704 ATMs and internet banking services.
For business and regional customers, activities are conducted by specialised Relationship Managers with the support of Cash Flow, Financial Markets and Wealth specialists via the branch network, 56 business banking centres, telephone and internet channels.
WRBB is also responsible for the management of Westpac’s third party retail, broker and business distribution relationships.

Risk is responsible for the management of Credit, Market and Operational Risks.

Technology
The Technology division exists to provide a world class IT environment that enables our employees to delight our customers and earn all of their business. We achieve this through aligning our IT strategy and the way we architect, develop, source and manage our technology assets with a customer centric business strategy. The Technology division supports and enhances our Channels (e.g. Internet, Telephony, Banker Desktop), Infrastructure (e.g. Data Centres, Services, Utilities) and Applications (e.g. Customer Systems, Core Banking) to ensure they are available, reliable and secure at all times for our customers and employees.

Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) provides financial services to the corporate and institutional customer base, assisting and advising in the management of cash, funding, capital and market risk for companies and institutions in Australia and New Zealand.
